Question by AK1971: Where to locate the TONY HORTON P90X Fitness Guide and Nutrition Plan?
I purchased the Tony Horton P90X DVDs on line, and the P90X Fitness Guide and Nutrition Plan were not included.

I have searched the Internet to download copies – but have not been able to locate.

Does anyone know where these are located?

Thanks

dude. you need to call the company and give them hell. how can you be so careless not to? that is just unacceptable, especially for however much (i think 0) you paid for the program!

Design me a diet and fitness plan?

Question by Love Pink: Design me a diet and fitness plan?
I am 14 years old. I am five foot 2 and 171 pounds. My doctor told me that unless I lose any weight by my next check-up (March) I would have to start going in for weight checks and stuff, which would not be fun. I’ve decided that this school year, I would like to get fit.
My goal is to lose 23 pounds by December, and then take it from there. What is a diet and fitness plan I could use to achieve this goal? Thanks so much (:

Answer by Susan Yarrawonga
Losing 10 lbs a month is a good and safe target. Any faster weight loss is likely to be temporary only and in most cases you regain it all.

Running, jogging, cycling, swimming, dancing, push ups, sit ups, squats, brisk walking and power walking all help for weight loss but dieting helps more.

You can always eat negative calorie foods for weight loss and below is a list of negative calorie foods that will boost your metabolism.

Negative Calorie Fruits:
apples
cranberries
grapefruit
lemons
mangoes
oranges
pineapple
raspberries
strawberries
tangerines

Negative Calorie Vegetables:
asparagus
beets
broccoli
cabbage (green)
carrots
cauliflower
celery
Chile peppers (hot)
cucumber
dandelions
endives
garden cress
garlic
green beans
lettuce
onions
papaya
radishes
spinach
turnips

These foods don’t actually have negative calories but when you eat these foods raw or slightly cooked your body burns more calories digesting and processing them than what is in the food itself.

For a healthy weight loss add some of these foods to your diet each day. Most of them are full of healthy nutrients.

Question by Person udk: A fitness plan or exercise suggestions?
I am a little out of shape emerging out of my hibernation-ish winter. I have a small medical problem that won’t interfere with exercising except for the fact that i’m not supposed to lose weight because of it. what are some things i can do to improve my fitness? and if i exercise obviously every day or whatever people will freak out… but i eat healthy when i can, and this summer i want to get more athletic. any ideas? 🙂
lance thats exactly what im trying not to do. does that drink give toned muscle? i didnt think so.

Best answer:

Answer by brittney
with knowing the nature of your problem it is difficullt to advise a program. Do you like dancing. If so then start a rountine by doing some active dancing[ disco] or such like. This elevates your heart rate without over stressing your body. The idea of elevating the heart rate is to start the calorie burning process.Once you’ve complete your warm up set then try some sit ups and push ups;{ if you need to start push ups from your knees and develop into the full push up over several days/weeks. after the sit ups and push ups do some jogging on the spot to elevate your heart rate again. Then try some aerobics light intensity at first and build up to a greater intensity. As your exercise programs proceeds reduce slightly what you eat. Not by much just a little. Don’t expect miricle results in days as programs as these are designed to work over time and continued effort. You will gradually notice you can do more sit ups and push ups and work out longer as your body becomes fitter and fitter. please be patient and results will come your way . The most critical thing is to start. good luck.

Can eating junk food once a week mess up your fitness/diet plan if you work out 3 times a week?

Question by New Life: Can eating junk food once a week mess up your fitness/diet plan if you work out 3 times a week?
I’m starting to work out three times a week and I’m having a craving for something tasty rather than just drinking water to get that “full” feeling. If I eat a bag of cookies now, will that ruin my previous progress?

Best answer:

Answer by BabeHart
An occasional treat is fine…but that would be a serving of cookies, not a bag…it’s okay to treat yourself, in fact you SHOULD to keep from just tossing the healthy plan and going binge-out on junk food, but be reasonable and don’t pig-out on garbage simply because you are tired of “drinking water”…

Instead of water to help you feel full, how about a grapefruit (a whole large one has under 45 calories) or a medium apple (around 90 calories)…those things can be filling, are low in calories, and darned sure better for you than a bag of cookies (although I understand the appeal of the cookies, trust me!!!)…

It’s your fitness plan and you should do what you want to do…but being a little “naughty” will have much less effect on reaching or maintaining your goals than being a lot “naughty”…

Question by Emma: Followed by a 1200 calorie diet and 2 litres of water, is this a good fitness plan for losing weight?
Im 17 years old and i was wondering if this is a good weight loss plan to lose about 20 pounds in 3 months?

as well as an hour walk in the morning and pilates at night;

monday- afternoon surf
tuesday- tai chi class
wednesday- afternoon surf
thuresday -dance class
friday- afternoon surf
saturday- swim at the local pool
sunday- yoga class

Best answer:

Answer by Elle_2day
Due to all the exercise you are getting in, 1200 cals is at the lower end of how much you should be eating; try to have 1200 on the days you surf and between 1200 – 1500 on the other days. Also try and drink between 2-3 litres daily.
Do this and you will have an amazing plan to lose weight, especially since your body won’t get bored with all the different exercises.
Good luck x

Will this diet and fitness plan work for me?

Question by Kendall Nicole: Will this diet and fitness plan work for me?
I am 5’1 and weigh 120 pounds. I don’t think I am fat…just “healthier” then I wanna be. If I do a low carb diet…eggs for breakfast, grilled chicken, veggies etc. for lunch and dinner. PLUS running 3 miles 3-4 times a week….CAN i lose 7-10 by april 24th? Any advice, tips etc.???

Best answer:

Answer by SassyLassy
Possibly. But everyone’s body is different. It really depends on how you metabolise foods and what type of frame you have. Also what is your body fat %? It also depends on how fast your run those 3 miles. On your alternate non-running days consider doing yoga or pilates. That will help tremendously. If you workout 6-days a week, make sure you have 1 day of rest where you don’t workout at all. Your body needs recovery time which is extremely important.

Sounds like you are approaching it sensibly.
