Question by Kirsty Gray: What is the best fitness plan to have?
I’m a bit lazy, but I’m looking into having a fitness plan. The only thing is, I don’t know what to do for it, and I have tried these in the past but I can never stick to them.. can someone give me some advice as to how I can stick to it, and even plan one in the first place?
Thanks:).

this is a diet plan try this
Eat more! Don’t be fooled because the article is referring to more of healthy, low-fat foods rather than junk food. Junk food can range from burgers to those cookies that you always bought! Adding a lot of vegetables and fruits to your diet will help you. Also, drinking bouillon, a Haitian soup, made with filtered water will help you feel full.
Exercise every day! This could be the most difficult step to follow. But what you can do is actually start slowly then steady increase the amount of exercise. For example, today you will walk for 10 minutes, repeat this for the whole week. For the next week, double your workload. You may get leaner that way! The important thing is to get your heart rate up and start, now!
Feed your temptations once in a while. Go ahead and have that donut or slice of pizza, but before you do, drink a few glasses of water and eat a bowl of raw veggies such as cucumbers, celery, carrots, and tomatoes. They will fill you up and you will have very little room to eat the “junk” food.
Consume things that have no calories. There are two things you eat and drink that contain no calories: water and fiber. The more of these you get into your diet, the better off you will be. For example, you can eat a pound of mixed salad greens with assorted raw vegetables (carrots, red cabbage, celery, broccoli, onion, etc.) with a low or no-calorie salad dressing and only have eaten 100-150 calories. This is because of the high water and fiber content of the salad and low calorie dressing. Also, eat lots of celery. It has only 8 calories, but amazingly, it takes more than 8 calories to digest it. So, you actually BURN calories by eating celery! It’s not much, about 2 calories per 8 inch stalk, but it sure doesn’t hurt.
Avoid sodas as much as possible. Instead, drink flavored water or unsweetened iced tea. Caffeine, when placed in a low-calorie beverage like black coffee or unsweetened tea, raises your metabolism and causes you to burn more calories. Too much caffeine has harmful health effects, though, so be reasonable in your consumption if you choose to have caffeine.
Have broth-based soups. They are relatively low in calories. A commercially-available ready to eat “chicken and stars” soup may only have 80 calories for 1 serving, much less than diet “meal shakes” or nutrition bars.
Spread out your diet! Eat more small chunks of meals, rather than 3 big meals. If you eat 100-150 calories or so every two hours, your body stays in a higher-metabolism digesting mode. This allows you to burn more calories than eating just 3 meals a day
Record What You Eat! This is a simple yet very powerful exercise to open your eyes to see whether you are keeping up with the dieting plan. Often, we tend to overlook those snacking we do between meals and really think that our diet is failing us. But the truth is there can be many petty things that we do that really affect our dieting plan. For example, one might skip breakfast 3 times a week without being conscious about it. Studies have shown that if you eat breakfast, you tend to eat proportionally fewer calories the rest of the day. Without a record, it might seem like you are doing all the right thing, yet fail miserably in your dieting plan
Make Vegetables a Major Part of Your Diet Plan! If vegetables are not a major part of your diet, it is time to reconsider. Studies have shown that vegetables can play an important loss in losing weight. This is because vegetables are high in water and fiber and low in energy density.

Question by clutch2313: I’m 25 and male and weigh about 145kg. I am looking for a diet and fitness plan that will help me lose weight
I wish to drop some weight relatively quickly (around 20kg in about a month) I’m looking for an eating and fitness plan that will help with this goal. Can someone point me to a website where I can get a free plan or give me a plan that will help me with this goal. Most places want to charge me upwards of 00 to help me, so I thought I would ask everyones advice.
I realise 20kg in a month is fast, I have I don’t want to do that every month as I know thats an unrealistic goal and is not healthy. I believe that amount is what I could lose with strict diet and exercise in the first month. After that though something like 1kg a week would be my goal!

Hi, I was almost the same weight as you last year, took up a program my friend recommended and am lost about 30kg. You can read about my profile if you would like to find out more.
DO NOT go to places that charge you so much to lose weight, trust me, there are better deals than that. I have tried many and many just put you on a diet routine and let you go to the gym “for free” , then when we don’t lose the weight we are suppose to lose, they tell us it’s our fault and we CAN’T prove it that it’s not ours!
Just angers me when they charge that amount. Just two simple choices, go for surgery to suck out the fats (still cost alot) or get a program that works *And follow it with your heart.
All the best.

Does anyone know a fitness plan that works?

Question by Kare-Bear: Does anyone know a fitness plan that works?
I’m trying to find a fitness plan that will help me lose a little weight (about 15 pounds) and to tone my body. I don’t mind running on the treadmill but how long do I need to run to see results and how long would it take? and also I want to do strength training too but I don’t want to get too muscular since I already have somewhat thick arms/ legs.
Or if you have a routine that worked for you then I would love to hear it :~)

believe it or not…this stuff isn’t the rocket science that weight watchers and south beach make it out to be.
simply consume less calories than you burn
or burn more calories than you consume.
start by cutting out soda/sugary drinks…and from there just eat a more conscious diet.
excercise wise:
-30 min of cardio at least 3 times a week. Not walking! Running or aerobics/kick boxing [more fun than running]
if you can’t handle high impact excercise and want to start out walking, up the time spent walking.
-To get toned rather than ‘build’ muscle, choose low weight, and do high reps. Example: Bicept curls with 10 pounds, 3 sets of 15.
this is a great website for figuring out what exercises burn how many calories: http://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/cbc
it is important to lose some inches with cardio before starting to weight train because then you will be building muscle under fat…a lot of people think that by doing a million sit-ups they will have a six pack, but you have to do the cardio to lose the belly fat first.

Question by Favour: Fitness plan to prepare for a long cycling trip?
I’m going to be going on a 700km+ cycle over a period of about 12 days in 6 months time and I would like to know if anyone has any fitness plans or ideas that will help me to prepare. Apart from just getting out and doing a lot of cycling I’d like to know how to stagger the preparation in order to be comfortable with cycling 70km or so per day during the ride.

Answer by greengunge
70k/ day is not a hard trip. if you really want to train up for it then the only way would be just to ride.
you could try a gym to strengthen your legs if you feel you need it, or you could jog of course.

The first thing you need to remember is not to do anything drastic that will damage your health. Healthy weight loss is between 3-5 pounds per week. To accomplish this you need to burn more calories than you take in, this is accomplished by proper diet and exercise. It is important to become a “label reader” read the nutrition facts on the label of all foods that you eat. Never go over 10 percent fat calories versus regular calories in any food and keep your carbohydrates as low as possible. A high protein low carb diet is the healthiest and best for losing weight and gaining muscle. the first link will teach you everything you need to know about the foods you need to eat and how to spot them. the second link was created by a bodybuilder to help people free. this guy is great and he hates the rip off artists that plague our industry.
stick with it and good luck.

Where can I go to get a fitness plan with certain goals to meet that will work?

Question by Kamikaze: Where can I go to get a fitness plan with certain goals to meet that will work?
I need a solid plan that I know I’ll see results with by following it. I’ve been over training too much over the passed 4 months and haven’t seen much results. I have a friend that can pump out twice as much push ups that me and he’s only been doing them 2 months. I wait long enough for my muscles to stop being sore, but I guess that’s not enough, or maybe I’m not doing the correct amount? I need to meet goals with push ups, pull ups, running, and sit ups. I’m a 20 year old male in decent shape. I leave for the military in 2 months and need to meet these goals. I can currently do 45 push ups to exhaustion, 100+ sit ups (these aren’t of much concern), 6 maybe 7 pull ups (palms forward dead hang pull), and 12:15 1 1/2 mile. My goal is 100 push ups, 100 sit ups, 20 pull ups, and 9:30 1 1/2 mile. I need to get as close as these as possible. Thank you.

Question by Austin: What kind of fitness plan should I have?
For several months I did nothing but laid on the bed and play on the computer and now I’m more out of shape than ever. I used to weigh 155lbs~ and now I weigh 163. I’ve been jogging for about 3 days now. And doing push-ups. I really want to get in shape and look good by August. I’m 17 and 6’0. What sort of plan should I come up with?
Best answer:
Answer by jyothiprasadb
According to your height and weight, you are in good condition, I don’t think you have to reduce weight. I don’t think you need to jog so much. Concentrate more on strength training. Along with push-ups Buy a dumbbell or two and concentrate on building muscles rather than losing weight. It is not bad to jog or anything but it is important that you don’t over do it and reduce weight.
Make sure you are eating right quantities of carbs, protein and fat. To find out how much carbs, protein, and fat you need for day, go to www.sparkpeople.com;

There is so much you can do during the winter such as skiing, snow shoeing, snow boarding, sledding, and swimming indoors. You can go to indoor track and run or go to an athletic club.
