eat less, exercise more. lose the weight at your own rate. 2 lbs/day is too quickly — not healthy! you did NOT put the weight on that fast! plus, if you lose it very fast then you are not likely to keep it off, which is the whole point, anyway!

Second day: Weights
Third day: Cardio
Fourth day: Weights w/ pull bar

No miracle pills needed. Most people want to lose weight fast, say working out for a month. Then they stop because it’s boring, there friends don’t want to exercise or they achieved their goal. Then they get mad when they gain the weight again. Make your workout a fun lifestyle so you stay on track. If as a child you liked to play basketball or ride a bike or swim; then do it, this should keep you on track for life. Go back to what’s FUN for you. I prefer running or biking because I don’t depend on anybody but myself to get my workout.
Eat healthy, food is energy you need to work-out. There is a theory if you just diet and don’t excercise, your metabolism will slow down thus you won’t lose weight. More important is that if you don’t eat a balanced meal everyday you are cheating your body of vitamin and minerals which help your body function. Low calorie diet wil make you weak, moody and lower your concentration. A diet low in meat will make you weak or even anemic. Jogging is the fastest way to lose weight and it will make you better at any sport because you’ll gain endurance. At first you may have to mix walking with your jogging untill you get stronger. You should only lose around 2 pounds per week to lose weight in a healthy fashion, but here’s some advise. If you are not overweight you need to run enough to burn ONLY the excess of calories you had for that day. Why my answer? If you run six miles a day which burns about 600 calories or 100 calories per mile but you eat 800 calories more than you should of, than you are still 200 calories over than you should be after your run. Meaning you will not loose weight if you put more calories in your body, than you can burn off; inclusively you can even gain weight even if you’re running. So to loose weight you need to burn more calories than you consume. To maintain your current weight you only need to burn off the excess calories for that day. What you need to find out is according to your age and height How many calories you should have daily. Let’s say you’re suppose to eat 2000 calories per day but ate 2400 you’ll need to run 4 miles to burn those extra 400 calories. Let say your overweight but eat 2000 calories per day than any amount of running should produce weight loss. Obviously the more you run the more weight you’ll lose. Drinking at least 2 quarts or liters of water a day is very important to help eliminate fat from the body. As you lift weights you will lose fat and grow muscle at the time. Muscles weigh more than fat so don’t get confused if it you just started to lift weights and don’t see the difference in the scale. The more muscle you grow the more calories your body will burn and leaner you’ll get. Gyms now are measuring your body fat percentage when you become a member so they can give you concrete evidence that your fat is decreasing and your muscles are growing. BMI (Body Mass Index) Go to a runnersworld for more advise. Good Luck.

Question by reader: I need help choosing a diet and fitness plan. Suggestions?
I’ve had 3 children and it’s left my body flabby and 50 lbs overweight. My youngest is now 4 yrs old so it’s time I finally do something to loose the weight. My biggest problem with a diet will be that I am a complete carb addict. Also I loose weight incredibly slowly and get discouraged rather easily. Anyone out there tried anything that works great for them?

i advise you to drink green tea 1-3 glasses per day
green tea speeds up your metabolism
drink lots and lots of water 8 glasses each day.
do not snack
do not eat 6 meals a day, try to only eat 3
if you are really hungry and you’ve had all your daily meals snack on fruits ( oranges, apples, bananas )
exercise more try and run for at least 30 minutes a day
get more active
get more sleep it prepares your body
stretch, yes it works and it doesn’t just help you lose weight it helps with you’re growing to make you a little taller
count your calories try to stay under the amount of 1300 calories per day
change you’re lifestyle it makes a difference
do not eat candy or chips eat more greens or protein bars
avoid fast food and cut out fried food when you cook your meal oven cook your food do not fry it
chew gum because when you chew gum you do not pick at food for example if theres some chips in you’re cupboard you go to them a think good damn they look good then you would say no i cant pick at them because i dont wanna throw my gum away
do not eat after 6pm because before 6pm you can burn all you’re food off and if you eat after six it will lay on you’re stomach as you eat.
do not eat before you go to sleep
drink a glass of water before you go to sleep
drink plain hot kettle water because it speeds up you’re metabolism
do not weigh you’re self everyday because it torments you, weight you’re self once a week ( every Monday )
good luck!
you can safley lose 2 to 3 lbs. a week

You need to eat about 1400 calories per day. Aim for foods like fresh fish, fruit and vegetables and wholegrain cereals. Here is a 1400 calorie meal plan which includes tips on the kinds of foods to eat…
You can do the occasional detox, but in the long run they aren’t good for you, and they don’t help with long term weight loss.
Try and exercise for at least 30 minutes 5 times a week and get your heart rate to at least 60% of your maximum to ensure that you are burning fat. Try and vary your exercise as much as possible, do a different type of exercise every day or every other day and every few weeks change your exercise plan so that you don’t hit a plateau. Swimming, cycling, jogging, and pilates will all help you. Do some aerobics as well, and try using the equipment at the gym.

Question by R3d EYe5 DaRKn35S DraG0N Ma5T3R: Can someone help me work out a fitness plan?
I’m 13, 5″1- 5″2 and 154 Lbs.
I can wake up early if I have to, I have a stationary bicycle, I drink 2 cups of water a day, and I have 3-4 hours of free time.
Is Salad/Fruit and whole wheat bread/Oatmeal the way to go for the diet part?
Best answer:
Answer by j
First off, a healthy body needs 8 cups of water a day. A stationary bike is only good for losing fat – not building muscle. Your diet should consist of fruits, vegetables, whole wheat everything (pasta, bread, ect) a good multivitamin (I use A to Zinc). Also include almonds/walnuts, lots of lean meats and egg whites.
As for a fitness plan, you haven’t provided a goal so theres no way to give a plan.
If you want to lose weight then eat well and ride your stationary bike. You can burn some 500 calories an hour with that. Get outside and run, enjoy the summer. When your at the pool, swim laps, don’t jus mess around with your buddies.
If you want to gain muscle, your gonna have to do lots of pushups, pullups, squats, lunges, crunches, situps – assuming you have no weights.
Fitness is 80% diet. If you can’t eat right then all the working out in the world won’t help you.
