Question by Kendall Nicole: Will this diet and fitness plan work for me?
I am 5’1 and weigh 120 pounds. I don’t think I am fat…just “healthier” then I wanna be. If I do a low carb diet…eggs for breakfast, grilled chicken, veggies etc. for lunch and dinner. PLUS running 3 miles 3-4 times a week….CAN i lose 7-10 by april 24th? Any advice, tips etc.???

Answer by SassyLassy
Possibly. But everyone’s body is different. It really depends on how you metabolise foods and what type of frame you have. Also what is your body fat %? It also depends on how fast your run those 3 miles. On your alternate non-running days consider doing yoga or pilates. That will help tremendously. If you workout 6-days a week, make sure you have 1 day of rest where you don’t workout at all. Your body needs recovery time which is extremely important.
Sounds like you are approaching it sensibly.

Question by reader: I need help choosing a diet and fitness plan. Suggestions?
I’ve had 3 children and it’s left my body flabby and 50 lbs overweight. My youngest is now 4 yrs old so it’s time I finally do something to loose the weight. My biggest problem with a diet will be that I am a complete carb addict. Also I loose weight incredibly slowly and get discouraged rather easily. Anyone out there tried anything that works great for them?

i advise you to drink green tea 1-3 glasses per day
green tea speeds up your metabolism
drink lots and lots of water 8 glasses each day.
do not snack
do not eat 6 meals a day, try to only eat 3
if you are really hungry and you’ve had all your daily meals snack on fruits ( oranges, apples, bananas )
exercise more try and run for at least 30 minutes a day
get more active
get more sleep it prepares your body
stretch, yes it works and it doesn’t just help you lose weight it helps with you’re growing to make you a little taller
count your calories try to stay under the amount of 1300 calories per day
change you’re lifestyle it makes a difference
do not eat candy or chips eat more greens or protein bars
avoid fast food and cut out fried food when you cook your meal oven cook your food do not fry it
chew gum because when you chew gum you do not pick at food for example if theres some chips in you’re cupboard you go to them a think good damn they look good then you would say no i cant pick at them because i dont wanna throw my gum away
do not eat after 6pm because before 6pm you can burn all you’re food off and if you eat after six it will lay on you’re stomach as you eat.
do not eat before you go to sleep
drink a glass of water before you go to sleep
drink plain hot kettle water because it speeds up you’re metabolism
do not weigh you’re self everyday because it torments you, weight you’re self once a week ( every Monday )
good luck!
you can safley lose 2 to 3 lbs. a week

You don’t have to do them all in a row, but if you do each of them more than once a day, you should have really good, relatively fast results. Oh, and maybe for inspiration, you can read this:

Question by Cayley: Diet and fitness plan for 16 year old?
I am a 16 year old girl, 5’7 and 140 pounds. I want to loose about 10 pounds before school starts in a month. Is that reasonable? It is hard for me to exercise a lot because I have a large bust. I need a plan that will include a workout routine. And please don’t suggest a website because you almost always have to pay or it’s just crappy.
Any help or personal routine is welcome! Thank you!

Im on a diet at the moment and ive lost a lot of weight in 2/3 weeks my diet is just..
Breakfast – Cheerios and Skimmed Milk – Cornflakes and other cereals are okay too but make sure its nothing chocolatey
Lunch and Dinner for me is just salad with a bit of dressing – Lettuce, Cucumber, Tomatoes, Peppers, Corn on the cob, Green beans, CousCous
Snacks – Fruit, Apples, Bannanas, Strawberrys
Dont eat after 6pm, people usually arent that active after that time and whatever is eaten after then just sits on your stomach and turns to fat.
Excercise – 1 hour a day should be fine but when you really get into it more is good just not too much as you dont want an injury, stretching is also important to save on the aches in the morning.
Im not one of them kind of people that would go running around in the morning but i do workout dvds, saves money on going to the gym, there easy to download and if you get the right one can do wonders, the ones that work for me are Deanne Berry and Davina Fit
Walking is also good, i know the meals may seem a bit dull but because they are so low in calories the excercise you do will burn them off easilly and then burn off loads of fat
Good luck x

Staying healthy and losing weight has much to do with cellular nutrition, metabolism support and plenty of excersize. (jogging, running with dog, yoga, tennis)
You need to be on a diet this is closer to your cell’s actual needs. You need to be getting all the nutrients that foods rich in color have to offer.
**Eat vegetables and fruits.
You need to be on a diet that offers your protein requirements without making your intestinal tract sluggish. Meat invites all kinds of unwanted bacteria into your system.
**Eat beans, tofu, sauteed tempeh, almonds. Don’t worry about getting enough, because you are probably getting too much as it is. Most americans go way beyond the recommended amounts and cause any number of disease like heart, kidney, liver, etc….
You need to be on a diet that gives you the proper fat intake. Most people eat way too much saturated fat and Omega 6’s like soy and corn oil. These are in chips, dips, fries, some canned and packaged foods.
**Eat Flax Oil twice daily (1 tablespoon in AM and 1 in midafternoon). You will lose weight. Pour Organic Olive Oil (most others are rancid and cancer causing) on your salads with any seasonings and herbs.
Eat dark green leafies. Eat veges rich in color. Eat watermellon – rich in lycopene. Eat garlic on your foods.
**Supplementation: Take Vitamin C. Start with 500 mg, and slowly increase your body absorption till you reach about 4000 to 5000 mg per day. You can get Vitamin C at your pharmacy and its relatively cheap. Your energy will increase. Make sure you take your C before about 4 pm. You will get all other nutrients from the veges and fruits you eat.
These are your everyday doctors who are supporting the use of vegetarian based diets. Please do something paramount to your health: http://www.pcrm.org/ and click on the health link.

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together.
If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which
will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow
underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without
exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For
diet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food
after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on
your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If
you don’t eat wheat then you don’t eat all those sticky, fatty goey
cakes, you don’t eat junk food, and you don’t eat biscuits. But your
diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to
calculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising,
start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the
most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a
lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack,
disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target
your problem areas for men and women. It’s not necessarily to become a
bodybuilder or even join a gym – a couple of dumbbells will help you
to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

Question by anonymous: Diet and fitness plan for a flat lower stomach?
I’ve already asked this, but I really want help. I want a flat lower stomach for my ballet recital in about a month. I’m vegetarian, I work out, have access to the gym, and just really need your help.
I’m not fat, and the rest of my stomach is fine, just the stubborn lower part…
I’m willing to try about anything. I have a solo and want to look my best, thanks for your help.

your lower abdominal muscles are the hardest to build up and if you want to cut body fat you have to do a lot of cardio, as for a plan just hit the treadmill and the stair climber for about 30 mins a day and you will see a big difference as long as you stay away from fatty foods
