Question by sporty_gurl: Does anyone know of a diet/fitness plan that will help me get in shape for a triathlon?
I really want to start competing in triathlons but I’m not sure how to prepare for it. I’m a distance runner in track and a vegan. Is running enough to get in shape for it or should I go bike riding too? If so for how long? Thanks!

Question by Sara G: Can anyone suggest a sensible fitness plan after knee reconstruction?
I had my ACL reconstructed in August last year. I’ve been really lazy with my exercises given but have been discharged from hospital with an instruction that it’s fine to resume full contact sports training. What i want is some exercises that can help build my hamstring and thigh muscles up. Am aiming to do a charity run in June so want things to build up to then.

Jog in the shallow end of the pool if possible.
That will not be taxing on your knee.

Question by L: Can anyone suggest an alternative to the running on the spot exercise in the XBX Fitness Plan?
I often stay in hotels for work and I’d like to continue with the plan while I’m away, but worry that I’ll bring the ceiling down on the room below if I do the final running on the spot exercise! Can anyone suggest an alternative I can do in my room without distubing anyone else? Thanks

The majortity of us know that we need to lose that extra weight. Just think of the health advantages and your looks. Here is something to think about, if one is 14 pounds ( One Stone) overweight, then you are carrying the same of a 14 pound bag of potatoes around with you all day and every day. So stop dwelling about it and take plans NOW. The longest journey starts with the first step.
If you wish to burn fat then go to this splendid site.
SO BASICALLY IF YOUR LOOKING TO DIET THEN GO TO THIS GOOD WEBSITE.

Does anyone know a fitness plan that works?

Question by Kare-Bear: Does anyone know a fitness plan that works?
I’m trying to find a fitness plan that will help me lose a little weight (about 15 pounds) and to tone my body. I don’t mind running on the treadmill but how long do I need to run to see results and how long would it take? and also I want to do strength training too but I don’t want to get too muscular since I already have somewhat thick arms/ legs.
Or if you have a routine that worked for you then I would love to hear it :~)

believe it or not…this stuff isn’t the rocket science that weight watchers and south beach make it out to be.
simply consume less calories than you burn
or burn more calories than you consume.
start by cutting out soda/sugary drinks…and from there just eat a more conscious diet.
excercise wise:
-30 min of cardio at least 3 times a week. Not walking! Running or aerobics/kick boxing [more fun than running]
if you can’t handle high impact excercise and want to start out walking, up the time spent walking.
-To get toned rather than ‘build’ muscle, choose low weight, and do high reps. Example: Bicept curls with 10 pounds, 3 sets of 15.
this is a great website for figuring out what exercises burn how many calories: http://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/cbc
it is important to lose some inches with cardio before starting to weight train because then you will be building muscle under fat…a lot of people think that by doing a million sit-ups they will have a six pack, but you have to do the cardio to lose the belly fat first.

Question by Sarah: Does anyone know a good Horse Fitness Plan?
I really want to have a fitness plan to go by to get my pony fit. He is currently 10years, 14hh, clydie x anglo-arab and he is really really fat but semi-fit. Like he can do acouple of rounds at 90cm but is puffing alot after. And he can trot for about 5minutes straight then gets abit tired but he is an extremly active pony! Does anyone have any good sites for me to look at or any plan’s themselves? Thanks.

Personally what I do when a horse needs to be conditioned is to do a lot of work on the flat. Make a strict schedule. Example, if you are riding for an hour, you could try:
-Warm-up walk, ten minutes.
-Trotting, ten minutes.
-Walk break, four minutes.
-Trotting, fifteen minutes.
-Walk break, five minutes.
-Cantering, ten minutes.
-Cool-off, six-ten minutes.
That’s just one thing. I like to do a lot of trot and canter work, nice and forward on the flat. Really get him to reach out in his stride and bend into the corners. Soon enough that should get him conditioned.
But don’t take it too fast and wear him out. If it gets hot where you live, be sure to let him have lots of walk breaks and some water.
Good luck!

Can anyone give me a 12 week fitness plan?

Question by !SONY!: Can anyone give me a 12 week fitness plan?
I weigh 247 pounds. I am 5 feet 3 inches tall. I need to find a fitness plan-not a lose a hundred pounds now and kill your self plan. I am looking for a guide to follow as far as what to eat and so on. I have heard of those 12 week plans, but when looking on line, there are literally thousands! And they all want you to pay hundreds. I don’t want copyrighted stuff, but if anyone has actually done one of these things, and has been successful, please share with me.
