Why not start with walking??? It’s cheat (just a good pair of shoes) and you can do it anywhere…build up to doing some jogging (over time) if you can…also, youtube is full of free fitness videos and just about any workout can be adjusted to accomodate a beginner or be low to no impact…
As for diet, make a lifestyle change and start eating healthy…several small meals a day…consume fewer calories than you burn, and the pounds will begin to disappear…
Good luck!!!
Exercise is just as important as food consumption when it comes to losing weight. There’s plenty of splendid tips for exercise on the site in the box below. I lost 10 pounds by following their helpful advice.
Start slow. Doing too much at once decreases your chances of sticking to a workout plan. Try walking for 10-15 minutes at a brisk pace (you can adjust this if it is too much or too little). As this gets easier for you, increase your time by a few minutes. You want to do this most days of the week (at least 5), although it may be best to start with 3 days/week and work up from there. Set goals for yourself. For example, in one month be able to walk for 30 minutes, 4 days/week. In 2 months be able to walk for 45 minutes. As you are able to increase the time that you workout for, you will be able to burn more calories, which will help you to burn fat faster. Since you are overweight, you don’t want to do too much too quickly because this could lead to sore knees, which would discourage you from working out. Another great option, that is easy on the knees is riding a bike. Good luck! Stay positive and stick to a routine and you will get the results you want.
Well one that I can highly recommend is the P90x home workout system. It is great for beginners and it doesn’t matter if you are overweight, you can get results. It includes a great nutrition plan and workout system. You can check out some of the testimonials from other women that have used it here http://www.betterbodyjournal.com/p90x/p90x-testimonials-females I think it is quite affordable compared to other fitness/diet programs out today.
You are asking the right questions with regard to what you need to do
and what you need to eat because there has been a tremendous amount
of mis information about what is good for you and what isn’t.
All the fads you see advertised all over the place are not going to do it for you..
Your doctor told you that maintaining a proper weight and being fit was down
to a healthy diet and exercise. And he was right but effectively boring about it.
If you’re ready to try something totally different that actually WORKS to burn off
stubborn body fat in a smart, healthy way — and permanently, then read below…
You’ll also see the truth about why many so called “fitness experts” are having
you do almost all of the WRONG exercises. If you really want to rid yourself of
that ugly belly fat for good and get firm flat abs, you need to be focusing on an
entirely different realm of workout techniques… and this does NOT involve hours
of boring cardio every week! Explaining it all here is not possible so you need to get
the info from
