Hi I am a 17 year old guy and I weigh 210 pounds so yes I know I’m overweight. I wanted to know what is the range I should be in? Also what is the most efficient way to lose weight in 4 weeks from now?

Use the healthy weight range and BMI calculator. You will get a better idea of your normal weight and whether you need to lose or gain weight.

The American College of Sports Medicine offers guidelines for cardiovascular, flexibility and resistance training. The guidelines are flexible enough to allow you to pick your own exercises but have enough structure to get you going when you first start out. They are pretty easy to follow and will make your workout easier and more efficient.

im 6’3″ and weigh 160 so u should be from 140 to 160. if u hav a belly the best way to get rid of it is sit-ups. and riding bikes helps legs and just about everything else. so my idea would be

    1)go for a bike ride
    2)do some sit-ups.
then rest cuz running after doing sit-ups huts like none other.
3)after resting and stretching, go for a run probably a mile or two depending on ur pace.

Go to http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/ and play around with the numbers to find out your safe weight range. Two pounds a week loss is safe. Ten pounds in four weeks should also be OK. Eat less, exercise more.

    160-185.

A good way to lose weight is cardio vascular exercises followed later in the plan with strengh training and high protein foods. Stay away from the larger protein foods at the beginning otherwise the body store them because they are not used when your body is doing cardio.

    Hope it helps.

    dude,
you’ve got the potential to have an awesome body. I’m about 5’9 and 160lbs, im not fat, i’ve got a skinny waist, but something i can lose in about a month if i worked at it.
What I’m trying to say, is that you can be a solid 170 to 175lbs.
You should start with cardio for a while, every other day for about 30-40min, I’d say till you reach about 200lbs, than start more with the wieghts, to tone, and continue the cardio. This could get you the best body ever, it will take a few months though.
At the start, a realistic goal would be to lose 2 lbs a week, and as you get more into your program, it will turn to 1lb a week, its harder to lose weight, when you are lighter.
Good luck man, I have faith in you

Are you a bodybuilder? Because if you are, then you aren’t overweight. My boyfriend is 5’9” and 190 pounds; he is about 10% body fat. So, you might not be overweight.
