Alternate in the mornings between 10 mins on the exercise steppers, and 10 mins on jumping rope (one morning I’ll do one, the next morning I’ll do the other)

Will this help me lose weight?

Im not really sure what food would be good for me to eat and have a low calorie count. As far as work out i am most concerned with my stomach area. Can someone give me some suggestions on what type of workout i should do and what type of meals i should eat.

No miracle pills needed. Most people want to lose weight fast, say working out for a month. Then they stop because it’s boring, there friends don’t want to exercise or they achieved their goal. Then they get mad when they gain the weight again. Make your workout a fun lifestyle so you stay on track. If as a child you liked to play basketball or ride a bike or swim; then do it, this should keep you on track for life. Go back to what’s FUN for you. I prefer running or biking because I don’t depend on anybody but myself to get my workout.
Eat healthy, food is energy you need to work-out. There is a theory if you just diet and don’t excercise, your metabolism will slow down thus you won’t lose weight. More important is that if you don’t eat a balanced meal everyday you are cheating your body of vitamin and minerals which help your body function. Low calorie diet wil make you weak, moody and lower your concentration. A diet low in meat will make you weak or even anemic. Jogging is the fastest way to lose weight and it will make you better at any sport because you’ll gain endurance. At first you may have to mix walking with your jogging untill you get stronger. You should only lose around 2 pounds per week to lose weight in a healthy fashion, but here’s some advise. If you are not overweight you need to run enough to burn ONLY the excess of calories you had for that day. Why my answer? If you run six miles a day which burns about 600 calories or 100 calories per mile but you eat 800 calories more than you should of, than you are still 200 calories over than you should be after your run. Meaning you will not loose weight if you put more calories in your body, than you can burn off; inclusively you can even gain weight even if you’re running. So to loose weight you need to burn more calories than you consume. To maintain your current weight you only need to burn off the excess calories for that day. What you need to find out is according to your age and height How many calories you should have daily. Let’s say you’re suppose to eat 2000 calories per day but ate 2400 you’ll need to run 4 miles to burn those extra 400 calories. Let say your overweight but eat 2000 calories per day than any amount of running should produce weight loss. Obviously the more you run the more weight you’ll lose. Drinking at least 2 quarts or liters of water a day is very important to help eliminate fat from the body. As you lift weights you will lose fat and grow muscle at the time. Muscles weigh more than fat so don’t get confused if it you just started to lift weights and don’t see the difference in the scale. The more muscle you grow the more calories your body will burn and leaner you’ll get. Gyms now are measuring your body fat percentage when you become a member so they can give you concrete evidence that your fat is decreasing and your muscles are growing. Okay-my stats:
18, Male, 115 lbs.
I’ve been running just about every day, and I’ve gone down from 135 lbs at the beginning of summer to 125 by the end. Then I lost 10 lbs by running at the gym at college. Problem is-I still don’t look like I think I should. I still have slight love handles and my thighs are not…normally sized. (They’re larger than my waist!) Most of the time, it doesn’t bother me-but when I notice other guys, something doesn’t seem right. Any suggestions?

Hi.
This is a little complex. I would recommend talking to some good personal trainer in a respectable gym.
Running is overrated and also places a lot of stress on the knees and your back.
I think you should start lifting weights and scale down you running. If you add muscle to your frame you will increase your metabolism making it easier for you to get rid of extra fat. It will also give you a more macho look and is also far better training as running is only a cardio exercise. When you run you don´t train several large muscle groups that could otherwise contribute to you looking better and healthier. Also, if you add muscles to your chest, upper arms, shoulders and back in proportion your thighs will not look big!
Since your thighs are larger than you waist I am pretty sure you have excess fat there but don´t have that problem on your upper body. Could that be? Start lifting weights 3-4 times a week and run just once a week for 6-8 months and I am sure you will look very different and feel better.

Your height to weight ratio really depends on your age. A weight training program along with a good diet and exercise will help you to gain muscle in a healthy manner. Try talking to your doctor, they might recommend a dietitian who can give you a plan you can follow. This is a better and safer way then finding a program on the internet.

The guy has all sorts of qualifications and experiance, and hes a doctor in somthing lol.
He wrote a plan for me a while back and its brilliant.
Its very quick, and i enjoyed the attention lol. Give it a go
Also you don’t have to keep buying as you just mix the program about a bit.

DO NOT STARVE YOURSELF< that will just take longer for u to lose weight, cuz since ur not getting enough energy from food, ur body has to store ur fat for energy, so it creates more fat. Thus, u get fatter instead of just eatin enough and burning the calories which is a much faster and more effective way! DONT DO ANY PILLS, VIDEOS< OR CDS (losing weight doesnt have to cost money) OR ANY OTHER STUFF(SLIM FAST) YOU CAN STILL EAT GOOD FOODS, JUST IN MODERATION. DONT LIMIT YOURSELF< IF YOU REALLY WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT HERES A GREAT PLAN THAT REALLY WORKS:
Every day do:
25 push ups
25 sit ups
15 leg lifts
Go riding a bike for 20-40 minutes
Walk to and from places if its possible to
Run a mile once a week
Swim twice a week for a half hour
FOOD:
Eat all three meals a day, just dont overfeed.
Take your time when eating.
If you want any snacks in between, eat celery/carrots or something healthy.
No soda
WATER
When you want flavor badly, drink crystal light.
For breakfast, have cereal or yoghurt.
For lunch, have a salad or sanwich with whole wheat bread
For dinner, enjoy yourself, but dont pig out or have super unhealthy foods...example:::fried chicken with a side of french fries and chocolate cake for dessert!!! UHH NOOO!!
NO ICE CREAM
Eat 1 hour after waking up(if u can) and 3 hours before u go to bed.
Try to get 6 to 8 hours of sleep. When your body is deprived of sleep your appiteite increases by 15%.
NO POPCORN< CANDY
NO CHIPS
FRIED FOODS ONLY 1 time per week
NO COOKIES/cake
(WHEN I SAY NO blah blah blah,,, it means u can have it, but like 1 time per week or 2 weeks if you choose.)
***SOME EXTRA TIPS:
Try to avoid white, bleached, or enriched flour.
Stay away from high fructose corn syrup and hydrogenated oils.
Read food labels, often times they say stuff is "healthy" and it really isnt. For instance, if u see that there is more than 20 grams of sugar in a candy bar, thats high so u should limit that candy bar to like 1 time per week! Get the point?
